Conserving the Canal’s History, Building its future. Our presentation on 17 April 2026 at Countess Wear Village Hall

We will be telling the Countess Wear community about our work to protect and develop the canal with its new found Heritage Harbour status, as well as our campaign to encourage Devon County Council to increase the draught under the new bridges so more craft can pass under them.

Following our successful presentation to the Topsham community in early March the Trust’s chairman John Monks will talk about the friends’ work, and member and Inland Waterways Association activist Ray Alexander will talk about the replacement bridges.

All are welcome and we will provide refreshments and snacks before the talk.

We are grateful to the village hall committee for their support
